My son-in-law and daughter recently purchased their first home in Richardson, Texas. To help them start this new chapter—and to welcome their five-week-old newborn—my wife and I decided to have the entire interior of their home professionally painted. Like most people, I began by searching online for painters in the Richardson area. I reviewed years in business and customer feedback, made several phone calls, and ultimately chose the first company where a real person answered the phone and took the time to speak with me. That company was ATD Painting. From the initial call through project completion, ATD Painting was exceptionally communicative and professional. The very next day, Shane Tadlock met me at the home, walked through the property, discussed the scope of work, and confirmed the required timeline. From that first meeting, I felt confident in the process. Shane was professional, courteous, and clearly committed to completing the job correctly and on schedule. Throughout the project, Shane personally visited the property each day, inspected the work, and provided regular status updates via text message, including any questions or observations. On the final day, I was notified approximately one hour before completion and invited to walk the home with the lead manager to review the finished work. After the walkthrough, I texted my daughter and son-in-law: “I have one word for the paint quality in this house—WOW!” The quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and overall finish exceeded my expectations. I do not often recommend companies to friends or family, but in this case, I absolutely do. From start to finish, both the work and the people at ATD Painting were outstanding. Best commercial painter I have worked with! My 100 year old brick walls were leaking in bad storms until Leo and his crew sealed, painted, and put new flashing on. The guys went way above and beyond what was discussed initially. Price was very fair. They kept a tight and tidy workplace and the communication about the status of the project, what they were doing, and the time remaining was really helpful for me as I was still running an open business during the project.

From the start, I found them to be professional and honest. Lee came over, provided a reasonable estimate and gave me a booklet, explaining the company and its primary goal of pleasing the customer. He emphasized that the owner really cared that the customer was happy and satisfied with the final results. It was an easy decision to hire them. I took advantage of the availability of the color consultant, Ken. He came to my house with lots of color swatches, offered his opinion and took his time, explaining how light affects the appearance of color. I have not felt rushed with this company. As a retired nurse, I was very picky with details and had a million questions. They patiently answered and addressed any concerns that I had. The doors and framework had a lot of damage, but after they were sanded, they looked practically new. They went with me to help pick out my new baseboards, carefully loading them on to their vehicle. Luis and his brother did a stellar job of turning my living room and 2 hallways into a showroom house! They were so polite, providing me with updates along the way. Lee also communicated and was on site the first day of the job, as well as during and after the job. The workers even bought my son tacos for lunch! The seasoned painters did not cut any corners, carefully covered my furniture, answered my questions, took their time and left no stone uncovered. I highly recommend ADT Painting for any type of job, big or small! They are personified perfection! If I have another painting project, I don’t have to waste any more time, looking that perfect fit. ATD Painting did an amazing job on painting the interior of my home. They painted all walls, ceilings, trim and doors. I was impressed they were able to finish in 4 days and work around my schedule. UPDATE 2026. ATD Painting for the win… AGAIN! As a Realtor, I’m constantly asked for painter recommendations, and my clients almost always get multiple bids. Without fail, ATD is consistently mentioned as the most professional company they meet with—and I truly believe that starts with Adam, the general manager. His line-by-line, itemized estimates make it incredibly easy to understand the scope, compare bids, and feel confident about what you’re getting. This most recent project was for an out-of-town seller in Southlake, so I was heavily involved. Victor, the project manager, was outstanding—sending daily photo updates and keeping me completely in the loop on progress. That level of communication matters. He was also incredibly responsive when I needed to adjust or expand the scope mid-project, which made a big difference in keeping everything on track. Joel, the on-site foreman, deserves a lot of credit as well. The quality of work from his crew excellent, they kept the jobsite impressively clean and were so careful to protect the home throughout the process—something that doesn’t always happen. This was a 4,400 sq ft home plus full cabinetry, and the finished result honestly looks better than new. One thing I always notice with ATD is consistency. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small job or a full interior like this one—the process, communication, and end result are always solid. When I recommend them, I know my clients are going to be taken care of, and that’s everything in my business. UPDATE 2025. I’m a Realtor and clients are always asking for names of great painting companies. This evening I got a call from an Argyle client I referred to ATD Painting. My client wanted me to know how grateful and excited they were about the quality of the work and the people of ATD. They first met Adam, the general manager. Adam does the estimates in Northeast Tarrant county. Then they worked with Ken, ATD’s senior project manager, to confirm colors. They even called out Chris, the project manager, by name. Read below and you’ll see my previous review of ATD. I’m happy to say “yes, I do have the name and number of a great painter” when my clients ask. And I’ve been able to say that consistently for more than 15 years. Talk about reliable!! - End of update. ATD was referred to me by a client when I inquired who had done their interior and exterior paint. In the 15+ years since then, they've painted my own homes in Southlake, Keller and Argyle. I've also suggested clients call ATD to at least compare to whomever they would have used and I'd bet 90% of the time those clients liked ATD's price and were impressed enough with the ATD process to choose them as well. I have no reservations about recommending ATD Painting. They deliver an extremely detailed estimate, printed on the spot, at the first appointment. Then the painters show up on time. This last job for me was a very small one, yet they took great pains to mask off and cover the area like it was a job worth 10x the amount. When they left it was clean and you wouldn't have known they'd been there except for the perfect paint job. A supervisor checks in while the work is being done, and follows up afterward. They really want you to walk the job with them when finished to make sure you're happy. It's certainly worth getting an estimate on your painting project from ATD Painting.

Hugo and his team get 5 stars for their painting skills, professionalism, and cleanliness. They did the job timely but it didn’t feel rushed. House looks great!

Stop looking you found THE painter. From starting with Adam, so knowledgeable and professional, to the beautiful work done by Omar and his crew I could not recommend ATD any stronger. They did the interior of our 2 story 3000 sq ft house quickly but meticulously. It looks amazing. They notice and care about every detail with courtesy which is rare finding these days. I feel I could go on but point being ATD is awesome and I have already hired them for another job. You can’t go wrong. I am ecstatic with the results.

Everything about my experience with ATD was highly professional. From the proposal to the clean up at the end of the project -- every detail was perfectly handled. They painted my kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinet, and fireplace surround and it now looks like it's out of a magazine! I couldn't be more pleased with everything they did. The workmanship is fantastic and they used great care and has respect for my home and belongings. They even finished earlier than expected. This was money well spent, and they weren't my least expensive bid for the project. However, I trusted that they were professionals, knew what they were doing, and would handle the job well and I was correct!

There are no words to express how amazing these guys are! We had to cancel a big job due to mold being found in the house and they were just three days out from starting. They were gracious and patient while we secured another property and did not charge us for the late cancellation but were very understanding. When we got another property they came out and did a fantastic job. The ‘if you have an arm you can paint’ slogan is blown out of the water with the beautiful job they did. I recently (July 2025) booked ATD Painting for an exterior paint job on a 1924 Craftsman in Oak Cliff. Every person I interacted with was incredibly professional and customer service oriented, and their price was very reasonable for the work performed. As happens with these century old houses, we had several areas of rot and damaged wood, and our crew did some amazing carpentry work to get everything back in good shape and looking seamless. They even went out of their way to find period appropriate matches for our molding and soffit. Our Craftsman has a lot of decorative details and adornments, and our crew took the time to make sure every element of our house pops. I will be highly recommending ATD to any neighbors needing services, and will definitely make them my first call in the future if I have any new painting job.
