Stain To Paint Cabinets
Stain to paint cabinets is the process of caulking seams, priming the previously stained wood, and then painting. ATD will mask off and spray kitchen cabinets, unless requested otherwise by customer, or under a unique circumstance. Spraying cabinets provides a smoother finish.
Stain To Stain Cabinets
With a little effort and a lot of skill, we can apply a stain on top of the existing stain. This allows a transition from a little dark to much darker. Also, we can modify the underlying tone of the cabinets, for example, if there is a strong orange or yellow hue, we can help to minimize it. Currently, we do not re-stain existing cabinets lighter.
Stain Refresh Cabinets
Stain refresh cabinets takes your cabinets back to their original color. It is a process of a light sanding, a wiping stain, and a coat of varnish. This is a simple process that blends in scratches, bumps and bruises that happen over time. The varnish locks in the color and adds a layer of protection.
Faux Cabinets
Faux is French and means “Fake”, but fake in a stylish or elegant way. When something is fauxed by a painter, it is made to look like something it is not. Most often fauxing cabinets means to make them look aged or distressed in a stylish and elegant way. This requires painting cabinets, then applying one or more glazes along with various faux techniques.

I had ATD Painting paint my dark cabinets in the kitchen, pantry area and window sills, base boards, also trim in all of the house. I can only say wonderful things about them. They were so careful when it came to protecting my home. Masking everything before they painted. The crew was top notch. So nice and gave me a time line and stuck to it. My expectations were exceeded. A few other neighbors used ADT for their exterior painting and provided high marks and recommendations. Adam came out and we walked the house together reviewing the work needed. Some of the work was extensive. The chimney and some siding needed to be rebuilt. His quote was spot on. Adam was very responsive and courteous. With regards to workmanship. I can't say enough good things about that. Leo, Anthony and the entire crew work with conviction for a solid three days! Except for a lunch break they worked steadily from the early morning until it was time to go home, 6pm or so. There was no slacking on detail and workmanship either. They had the necessary tools and experience. What impressed me the most was their willingness and understanding to work with me and answer my questions during this rebuilt and exterior painting. My thanks to all who had a hand in this project.

We have a stucco home that needs to be painted every few years. It is a major maintenance item and we did considerable research before deciding on ATD Painting. We are thrilled with the choice we made. They were on time each day, worked hard, did an beautiful job and when they left, they cleaned up as if they had never been there. They made suggestions along the way that helped enhance the look of the house and the entire crew could not have been nicer to work with. One unexpected plus was that we initially decided to remove some shutters that were outside and when we pulled them off, it didn’t look right. Needed exterior painted quickly after new roof installed and before gutters were to be installed. Adam came out provided detailed quotes and also worked with me to get the job done quickly before bad weather was moving in. We just bought our home and it had a terrible brown tint on old yellow/brown paint. ATD’s team worked extremely hard for more than a week to paint the entire interior of our 3,600 sqft home. Just for context, the home is 3,600 sqft., four beds, four baths with vaulted ceilings. The ATD team was on time every day and didn’t leave until the job was done. Special kudos to our extremely talented foreman, Victor, and his wife, Gracie. I love working with Adam and his professional on-time crew at ATD. We had an initial estimate meeting where Adam helped us to walk through our colors and cut off lines. Adam made himself available for advice even on the weekend as I was making color selections. Unlike other paint contractors there was open communications and clear expectations. The site supervisor Chris gave us his ph number to call if we had any concerns during the job. They did an Amazing job of prep and protection of surrounding areas and finished as promised with clean up included. The result was beautiful ! Clean lines and consistency throughout.
