Professional Standards
One of the great things about Texas is less regulation of business and the trades; that’s one of the reasons businesses relocate here, and home prices are so reasonable in comparison. One less than perfect thing this creates is a lack of professional standards within the trades. In many home improvements, including painting, there is no requirement for licensing, certification, or a competency test.
At ATD, we have established standards and layers of project supervision that help ensure best industry practices are followed. Many painting company websites are full of industry lingo and stock photos, not ours. You will find only actual photos, at various stages of completion, that represent our work.
What to expect from ATD Painting on your
Exterior House Painting
Job Start
The day your exterior painting starts, your project will be re-walked by your assigned painting Foreman and an Area Manager or Project Manager, with your approved estimate in hand. The specifics of your estimate are identified, including any exterior carpentry. Also, pre-existing conditions are documented (dented gutters, paint on brick from previous painters, etc.).
Power Washing
Power washing is done to remove loose dust and debris. When needed, a higher-pressure wash can aid with removing loose and chipping paint. Care is taken around doors and windows. A pre-wash with bleach or detergent is available for mildew or heavily soiled areas, when needed.
Masking
Not only does 100% masking protect the brick while painting, but it allows for a heavier coat of paint. Occasionally when applying a heavy coat, it will drip or run after moving on to a different section. Masked brick means this is not a problem.
Caulking
In addition to caulking windows and doors to properly seal your home from weather, we caulk soffit, fascia and siding seams, joints, and cracks with a quality silicone-based acrylic caulk. Caulking cracks and seams will keep moisture out and give the surface a nice professionally finished look.
Repairs
Our Carpenters are capable of replacing rotted fascia, soffit, siding, trim boards, doors, jambs and much more. When you allow ATD to do carpentry, caulking, and house painting, there is a beginning to end accountability for the quality of the finished work. An accountability that we welcome.
Additional Prep
Hand scraping will be done, as needed. Loose boards will be reattached, where possible. Nails that have backed out will be reset. As we put our hands and eyes on things up-close, such as on high peaks or the back side of the chimney, any additional work or care that is needed will be identified and addressed.
Painting
We offer the best exterior paints and skilled professional exterior painters. Care is taken to ensure paint is applied per manufacturer’s specifications. Proper substrate preparation, spread rate, and mil thickness are achieved to allow us to get the best performance out of the best paints.

From a few 1x4s on a chimney or window, to a complete siding replacement, ATD completes hundreds of exterior painting and carpentry project every year. We have developed resources that gives us the best chance to find matching replacement siding or boards. We can also install James Hardie® boards and siding if you choose.
Stucco Crack Repair and Stucco Painting
We have painted hundreds of stucco / EIFS homes and businesses. There are always repairs, sometimes only a few small cracks and other times they’re more extensive. With stucco painting, we recommend using an Elastomeric Coating that helps reduce moisture and wind-driven rain issues that are common with stucco / EIFS. This allows us to beautify and protect at the same time.
Exterior Paint Options
Because of the harsh Texas summer sun, most homes in DFW need to be repainted every 5-7 years. The super premium paints and caulks that ATD offers can greatly increase that number. Not only will it last longer before needing a repaint, but it will keep that freshly painted look longer as well.

Our Unique Warranty
ATD Painting warrants both workmanship and product failure. With a workmanship only warranty, a person could end up paying the labor to fix an issue, even during the warranty period. A workmanship only warranty allows a painter to declare the paint failing (chipping, peeling, or bubbling) is due to a product failure and not covered under the workmanship warranty. The paint manufacturer’s warranty would only cover providing replacement paint, not labor. The scraping and repainting labor could cost hundreds or thousands. At ATD, in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty, we provide a complete workmanship and product failure warranty for up to 5 years.
ATD Painting’s Warranty
ATD Painting warrants painted surfaces against any defects due to workmanship or product failure for a period of three years from the date of the original install. Stained surfaces are warranted for one year. ATD will provide materials and labor for valid warranty claims during the warranty period. Included in the warranty are chipping or peeling paint, rotted wood (if wood was replaced by ATD) or loss of adhesion or elasticity in paint. Exclusions: Horizontal surfaces, galvanized metal, rust, mildew and fading. Also excluded are any damages caused by your home settling/shifting, sprinkler systems or water drainage and any damage as a result of abrasions.
Signature Package
With the Signature Package, the three-year warranty above is extended to five years and a three-year mildew guarantee is added.

About a week ago ATD completed the exterior painting of my home. I could not be more pleased with the results!! My sales person Adam was both attentive and patient with my numerous inquires and questions. I had two site supervisors Ken and Leo who both pointed out several siding issues in different locations of the home to me, they where able to offer several suggestions as how to fix the problem and ultimately I had final say as to how I wanted it fixed. ATD supervisors also took before and after pictures of the fixed areas. I appreciated this because many issues I could not see without going up a ladder and walking on the roof to inspect. The ATD paint crew managed by Louis took their time, they did a awesome job with trim repair, masking and taping and finally painting. The best form of flattery is that I am have some work done on the inside of the home and upon completion of that work I will be repainting. ATD will be called again and I will also request Louis and his crew again. One last complement, my window replacement company Radiant Windows and Doors who saw the how before and after painting took down the ATD contact information as he was very impressed with the results.
We had peeling wallpaper in 2 bathrooms. Rudy came out to give us a free estimate. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. Tony and his crew arrived on time and did a remarkable job stripping wallpaper, prepping and painting with a textured finish. They covered the floors and left our home in great shape. We just had ATD paint three rooms in our house, and it couldn’t have been an easier process. Rudy came out, took measurements and gave us a quote on the spot. Very reasonably priced. Omar and another worker were out on the scheduled day, and I was actually late because they showed up 15 minutes early. The work they did looks amazing, and they were able to finish it all in one day. The workers were very respectful of the house and not making any messes. I had ATD paint my house, this was the best experience I have ever had with a company. The did exactly what they said they would do, no surprises. Showed up on time, very respectful. They did an excellent job. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs any paint work done.
ATD did a fantastic job on my condo. Needed every room painted including walls, ceilings, baseboards, and trim. During the initial walk through, Lee went over exactly what they would do and was able to provide an estimate on the spot. Being a Thursday morning, they were able to get a crew out the following Tuesday. The project manager Leo and his team headed up by Israel were at the site when I pulled up 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. They got to work right away after we all walked through the property again ensuring what exactly they were going to do. At the end of each day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Leo gave me an update on their progress as well as pictures of what they had done. The final project exceeded my expectations. They removed every nail, patched every tiny hole and removed wallpaper in one bedroom. No paint splatter or damage to any floors or windows and left the property spotless. Very impressed with their professionalism, punctuality and speed. I will definitely be calling these guys again for future work. Thank you guys very much!
From start to finish, I had such an amazing experience with ATD. They painted the entire exterior of my home, including brick, metal siding, gutters, soffits and fascia. I initially met with Shane to discuss options and for the quote, and he made sure that the colors I chose were communicated to the crew before they started. Ken was my project manager, and he checked in both days with the crew to ensure everything was going smoothly and answered all of my questions, as well as did the final walk through with me. Rogelio and his partner did an amazing job on the painting and cleanup! You could barely tell they were here, and they made sure to touch up the few areas that needed it before they left. Overall, could not recommend ATD highly enough!

The experience with the company was outstanding. The crew was extremely efficient and the finished project was top quality. They were prompt, cleaned up at the end of each day, and most importantly they met our deadline. The crew lead, Joel, was very approachable and and questions I had were addressed immediately. He gave suggestions to improve the finished look and personally checked the crew’s quality throughout the day. Also, Rudy was very professional when compiling the quote, and our requests were handled very efficiently. He personally stopped by to check on the project along with two other managers. UPDATE 2025. I’m a Realtor and clients are always asking for names of great painting companies. This evening I got a call from an Argyle client I referred to ATD Painting. My client wanted me to know how grateful and excited they were about the quality of the work and the people of ATD. They first met Adam, the general manager. Adam does the estimates in Northeast Tarrant county. Then they worked with Ken, ATD’s senior project manager, to confirm colors. They even called out Chris, the project manager, by name. Read below and you’ll see my previous review of ATD. I’m happy to say “yes, I do have the name and number of a great painter” when my clients ask. And I’ve been able to say that consistently for more than 15 years. Talk about reliable!! - End of update. ATD was referred to me by a client when I inquired who had done their interior and exterior paint. In the 15+ years since then, they've painted my own homes in Southlake, Keller and Argyle. I've also suggested clients call ATD to at least compare to whomever they would have used and I'd bet 90% of the time those clients liked ATD's price and were impressed enough with the ATD process to choose them as well. I have no reservations about recommending ATD Painting. They deliver an extremely detailed estimate, printed on the spot, at the first appointment. Then the painters show up on time. This last job for me was a very small one, yet they took great pains to mask off and cover the area like it was a job worth 10x the amount. When they left it was clean and you wouldn't have known they'd been there except for the perfect paint job. A supervisor checks in while the work is being done, and follows up afterward. They really want you to walk the job with them when finished to make sure you're happy. It's certainly worth getting an estimate on your painting project from ATD Painting.
I cannot speak highly enough about this company. Chris was a great project manager and walked us and the team through every room before they began to make sure we were all on the same page. They made notes and stickers on everything they needed to remember. Israel and the guys did a fantastic job repairing settling cracks and patching nail pops and holes before painting. They were also very kind and polite as we all maneuvered around each other for two days. The actual painting was done so, so well. They protected all the flooring and furniture before beginning, removed the blinds and wrapped the ceiling fans/fixtures. I cannot believe how much better the whole house looks. What really stuck out was how well they cleaned up afterward. All the furniture was put back where it belonged, everything was swept and cleaned, they even made my son’s bed and wiped down dusty window sills. In the future, even if another company could paint for less cost, we’d still choose ATD every time. We’ve had many contractors over the years come to place flooring, install carpet, paint, and rewire. ATD was by far our best experience.
ATD painting is a highly professional organization! Rudy, Regional Manager, presented the estimate and complete review of the company accompanied by a detailed portfolio. He walked my home with me and made detailed notes of the project. The three man crew arrived at the expected time and were courteous and knowledgeable. They displayed respect both to me and to my home throughout the project. I am very pleased with the results. It is evident that the crew was comprised of skilled professional painters.
