Professional Standards
One of the great things about Texas is less regulation of business and the trades; that’s one of the reasons businesses relocate here, and home prices are so reasonable in comparison. One less than perfect thing this creates is a lack of professional standards within the trades. In many home improvements, including painting, there is no requirement for licensing, certification, or a competency test.
At ATD, we have established standards and layers of project supervision that help ensure best industry practices are followed. Many painting company websites are full of industry lingo and stock photos, not ours. You will find only actual photos, at various stages of completion, that represent our work.
What to expect from ATD Painting on your
Exterior House Painting
Job Start
The day your exterior painting starts, your project will be re-walked by your assigned painting Foreman and an Area Manager or Project Manager, with your approved estimate in hand. The specifics of your estimate are identified, including any exterior carpentry. Also, pre-existing conditions are documented (dented gutters, paint on brick from previous painters, etc.).
Power Washing
Power washing is done to remove loose dust and debris. When needed, a higher-pressure wash can aid with removing loose and chipping paint. Care is taken around doors and windows. A pre-wash with bleach or detergent is available for mildew or heavily soiled areas, when needed.
Masking
Not only does 100% masking protect the brick while painting, but it allows for a heavier coat of paint. Occasionally when applying a heavy coat, it will drip or run after moving on to a different section. Masked brick means this is not a problem.
Caulking
In addition to caulking windows and doors to properly seal your home from weather, we caulk soffit, fascia and siding seams, joints, and cracks with a quality silicone-based acrylic caulk. Caulking cracks and seams will keep moisture out and give the surface a nice professionally finished look.
Repairs
Our Carpenters are capable of replacing rotted fascia, soffit, siding, trim boards, doors, jambs and much more. When you allow ATD to do carpentry, caulking, and house painting, there is a beginning to end accountability for the quality of the finished work. An accountability that we welcome.
Additional Prep
Hand scraping will be done, as needed. Loose boards will be reattached, where possible. Nails that have backed out will be reset. As we put our hands and eyes on things up-close, such as on high peaks or the back side of the chimney, any additional work or care that is needed will be identified and addressed.
Painting
We offer the best exterior paints and skilled professional exterior painters. Care is taken to ensure paint is applied per manufacturer’s specifications. Proper substrate preparation, spread rate, and mil thickness are achieved to allow us to get the best performance out of the best paints.

From a few 1x4s on a chimney or window, to a complete siding replacement, ATD completes hundreds of exterior painting and carpentry project every year. We have developed resources that gives us the best chance to find matching replacement siding or boards. We can also install James Hardie® boards and siding if you choose.
Stucco Crack Repair and Stucco Painting
We have painted hundreds of stucco / EIFS homes and businesses. There are always repairs, sometimes only a few small cracks and other times they’re more extensive. With stucco painting, we recommend using an Elastomeric Coating that helps reduce moisture and wind-driven rain issues that are common with stucco / EIFS. This allows us to beautify and protect at the same time.
Exterior Paint Options
Because of the harsh Texas summer sun, most homes in DFW need to be repainted every 5-7 years. The super premium paints and caulks that ATD offers can greatly increase that number. Not only will it last longer before needing a repaint, but it will keep that freshly painted look longer as well.

Our Unique Warranty
ATD Painting warrants both workmanship and product failure. With a workmanship only warranty, a person could end up paying the labor to fix an issue, even during the warranty period. A workmanship only warranty allows a painter to declare the paint failing (chipping, peeling, or bubbling) is due to a product failure and not covered under the workmanship warranty. The paint manufacturer’s warranty would only cover providing replacement paint, not labor. The scraping and repainting labor could cost hundreds or thousands. At ATD, in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty, we provide a complete workmanship and product failure warranty for up to 5 years.
ATD Painting’s Warranty
ATD Painting warrants painted surfaces against any defects due to workmanship or product failure for a period of three years from the date of the original install. Stained surfaces are warranted for one year. ATD will provide materials and labor for valid warranty claims during the warranty period. Included in the warranty are chipping or peeling paint, rotted wood (if wood was replaced by ATD) or loss of adhesion or elasticity in paint. Exclusions: Horizontal surfaces, galvanized metal, rust, mildew and fading. Also excluded are any damages caused by your home settling/shifting, sprinkler systems or water drainage and any damage as a result of abrasions.
Signature Package
With the Signature Package, the three-year warranty above is extended to five years and a three-year mildew guarantee is added.

I recently (July 2025) booked ATD Painting for an exterior paint job on a 1924 Craftsman in Oak Cliff. Every person I interacted with was incredibly professional and customer service oriented, and their price was very reasonable for the work performed. As happens with these century old houses, we had several areas of rot and damaged wood, and our crew did some amazing carpentry work to get everything back in good shape and looking seamless. They even went out of their way to find period appropriate matches for our molding and soffit. Our Craftsman has a lot of decorative details and adornments, and our crew took the time to make sure every element of our house pops. I will be highly recommending ATD to any neighbors needing services, and will definitely make them my first call in the future if I have any new painting job.

Our 1966 home was last painted something over ten years ago and it was certainly not looking its best. The painting contractor we used last time was long gone and we had no idea where to turn. A close friend had had her home painted recently by ATD and she recommended them very highly. I contacted ATD and their representative Lee came soon and, after a comprehensive inspection, gave us a quote. Lee was gracious and personable, fully understanding our expectations. I subsequently contacted two other painting contractors and soon had three credible quotes. I was sure that any of the three could have done a good job for us, but our friend’s enthusiastic recommendation won us over and we signed a contract with ATD. There were a few places on our house that had suffered some water damage and wood rot. These areas concerned me a lot and I stressed the importance of getting these properly repaired. Lee understood my concern, and assured me they had considerable experience with such as this. ATD’s crew arrived precisely as scheduled and went straight to work. It was obvious from the start that this excellent crew was fully competent. I watched in amazement as they prepared the house for paint, masking and caulking with a thoroughness that exceeded all my expectations. The areas that needed repair were addressed properly; the ATD guys made it look easy! Once the actual painting started, we began to see our home transform from being “tired” looking into a house that is fresh and beautiful. We recently had ATD paint the exterior of our house and they did an amazing job. From the initial estimating process through the prep and painting process, they stayed true to their name throughout the process - attention to detail (ATD). In particular, the team foreman, Joel was amazingly responsive to our questions and requirements. He was a true professional. Compared to painters I have used in the past, I was very impressed with the level of care that they in prepping the house to protect the landscaping, deck and precision of taping the required areas. All caulking and painting were done professionally and exceeded my expectations. Before asking for full payment, a thorough review was completed with Joel to insure complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend this team to anyone and would use them in the future.
Stop looking you found THE painter. From starting with Adam, so knowledgeable and professional, to the beautiful work done by Omar and his crew I could not recommend ATD any stronger. They did the interior of our 2 story 3000 sq ft house quickly but meticulously. It looks amazing. They notice and care about every detail with courtesy which is rare finding these days. I feel I could go on but point being ATD is awesome and I have already hired them for another job. You can’t go wrong. I am ecstatic with the results.

Everything about my experience with ATD was highly professional. From the proposal to the clean up at the end of the project -- every detail was perfectly handled. They painted my kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinet, and fireplace surround and it now looks like it's out of a magazine! I couldn't be more pleased with everything they did. The workmanship is fantastic and they used great care and has respect for my home and belongings. They even finished earlier than expected. This was money well spent, and they weren't my least expensive bid for the project. However, I trusted that they were professionals, knew what they were doing, and would handle the job well and I was correct!
ATD did a wonderful job on our home. Everyone we met with ATD was friendly and helpful. They spared no time with the hard work of prepping surfaces prior to painting and did a beautiful job. We are glad we used ATD again to paint our home.

We just had ATD paint three rooms in our house, and it couldn’t have been an easier process. Rudy came out, took measurements and gave us a quote on the spot. Very reasonably priced. Omar and another worker were out on the scheduled day, and I was actually late because they showed up 15 minutes early. The work they did looks amazing, and they were able to finish it all in one day. The workers were very respectful of the house and not making any messes. Near the end of the day, another sales manager stopped by to check out the work. Awesome experience and will be using ATD for all painting needs in the future.
UPDATE 2026. ATD Painting for the win… AGAIN! As a Realtor, I’m constantly asked for painter recommendations, and my clients almost always get multiple bids. Without fail, ATD is consistently mentioned as the most professional company they meet with—and I truly believe that starts with Adam, the general manager. His line-by-line, itemized estimates make it incredibly easy to understand the scope, compare bids, and feel confident about what you’re getting. This most recent project was for an out-of-town seller in Southlake, so I was heavily involved. Victor, the project manager, was outstanding—sending daily photo updates and keeping me completely in the loop on progress. That level of communication matters. He was also incredibly responsive when I needed to adjust or expand the scope mid-project, which made a big difference in keeping everything on track. Joel, the on-site foreman, deserves a lot of credit as well. The quality of work from his crew excellent, they kept the jobsite impressively clean and were so careful to protect the home throughout the process—something that doesn’t always happen. This was a 4,400 sq ft home plus full cabinetry, and the finished result honestly looks better than new. One thing I always notice with ATD is consistency. It doesn’t matter if it’s a small job or a full interior like this one—the process, communication, and end result are always solid. When I recommend them, I know my clients are going to be taken care of, and that’s everything in my business. UPDATE 2025. I’m a Realtor and clients are always asking for names of great painting companies. This evening I got a call from an Argyle client I referred to ATD Painting. My client wanted me to know how grateful and excited they were about the quality of the work and the people of ATD. They first met Adam, the general manager. Adam does the estimates in Northeast Tarrant county. Then they worked with Ken, ATD’s senior project manager, to confirm colors. They even called out Chris, the project manager, by name. Read below and you’ll see my previous review of ATD. I’m happy to say “yes, I do have the name and number of a great painter” when my clients ask. And I’ve been able to say that consistently for more than 15 years. Talk about reliable!! - End of update. ATD was referred to me by a client when I inquired who had done their interior and exterior paint. In the 15+ years since then, they've painted my own homes in Southlake, Keller and Argyle. I've also suggested clients call ATD to at least compare to whomever they would have used and I'd bet 90% of the time those clients liked ATD's price and were impressed enough with the ATD process to choose them as well. I have no reservations about recommending ATD Painting. They deliver an extremely detailed estimate, printed on the spot, at the first appointment. Then the painters show up on time. This last job for me was a very small one, yet they took great pains to mask off and cover the area like it was a job worth 10x the amount. When they left it was clean and you wouldn't have known they'd been there except for the perfect paint job. A supervisor checks in while the work is being done, and follows up afterward. September 12, 2025 ATD painting just completed painting the interior of our home, walls, baseboards, trim ETC. ATD stands for Attention To Detail. That's exactly what Rudy Luna, Rodger and his crew did. From filling and repairing all the nail holes, cracks, wall repairs, Bondo fixes and matching existing wall paint color. Above and beyond. We are very pleased. Rodger and his crew covered and taped everything before starting. All said and done, there was no paint splatter on any windows or floor surfaces. Upon completion, they cleaned up and removed all waste materials. The crew was respectful and professional. They did an AWESOME job!!! We would highly recommend ATD Painting. Best Painting company around.
I see why they call themselves ATD as they truly had that “attention to detail” in their work product. The crew was very friendly and took pride in their work.
