Professional Standards
One of the great things about Texas is less regulation of business and the trades; that’s one of the reasons businesses relocate here, and home prices are so reasonable in comparison. One less than perfect thing this creates is a lack of professional standards within the trades. In many home improvements, including painting, there is no requirement for licensing, certification, or a competency test.
At ATD, we have established standards and layers of project supervision that help ensure best industry practices are followed. Many painting company websites are full of industry lingo and stock photos, not ours. You will find only actual photos, at various stages of completion, that represent our work.
What to expect from ATD Painting on your
Exterior House Painting
Job Start
The day your exterior painting starts, your project will be re-walked by your assigned painting Foreman and an Area Manager or Project Manager, with your approved estimate in hand. The specifics of your estimate are identified, including any exterior carpentry. Also, pre-existing conditions are documented (dented gutters, paint on brick from previous painters, etc.).
Power Washing
Power washing is done to remove loose dust and debris. When needed, a higher-pressure wash can aid with removing loose and chipping paint. Care is taken around doors and windows. A pre-wash with bleach or detergent is available for mildew or heavily soiled areas, when needed.
Masking
Not only does 100% masking protect the brick while painting, but it allows for a heavier coat of paint. Occasionally when applying a heavy coat, it will drip or run after moving on to a different section. Masked brick means this is not a problem.
Caulking
In addition to caulking windows and doors to properly seal your home from weather, we caulk soffit, fascia and siding seams, joints, and cracks with a quality silicone-based acrylic caulk. Caulking cracks and seams will keep moisture out and give the surface a nice professionally finished look.
Repairs
Our Carpenters are capable of replacing rotted fascia, soffit, siding, trim boards, doors, jambs and much more. When you allow ATD to do carpentry, caulking, and house painting, there is a beginning to end accountability for the quality of the finished work. An accountability that we welcome.
Additional Prep
Hand scraping will be done, as needed. Loose boards will be reattached, where possible. Nails that have backed out will be reset. As we put our hands and eyes on things up-close, such as on high peaks or the back side of the chimney, any additional work or care that is needed will be identified and addressed.
Painting
We offer the best exterior paints and skilled professional exterior painters. Care is taken to ensure paint is applied per manufacturer’s specifications. Proper substrate preparation, spread rate, and mil thickness are achieved to allow us to get the best performance out of the best paints.

From a few 1x4s on a chimney or window, to a complete siding replacement, ATD completes hundreds of exterior painting and carpentry project every year. We have developed resources that gives us the best chance to find matching replacement siding or boards. We can also install James Hardie® boards and siding if you choose.
Stucco Crack Repair and Stucco Painting
We have painted hundreds of stucco / EIFS homes and businesses. There are always repairs, sometimes only a few small cracks and other times they’re more extensive. With stucco painting, we recommend using an Elastomeric Coating that helps reduce moisture and wind-driven rain issues that are common with stucco / EIFS. This allows us to beautify and protect at the same time.
Exterior Paint Options
Because of the harsh Texas summer sun, most homes in DFW need to be repainted every 5-7 years. The super premium paints and caulks that ATD offers can greatly increase that number. Not only will it last longer before needing a repaint, but it will keep that freshly painted look longer as well.

Our Unique Warranty
ATD Painting warrants both workmanship and product failure. With a workmanship only warranty, a person could end up paying the labor to fix an issue, even during the warranty period. A workmanship only warranty allows a painter to declare the paint failing (chipping, peeling, or bubbling) is due to a product failure and not covered under the workmanship warranty. The paint manufacturer’s warranty would only cover providing replacement paint, not labor. The scraping and repainting labor could cost hundreds or thousands. At ATD, in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty, we provide a complete workmanship and product failure warranty for up to 5 years.
ATD Painting’s Warranty
ATD Painting warrants painted surfaces against any defects due to workmanship or product failure for a period of three years from the date of the original install. Stained surfaces are warranted for one year. ATD will provide materials and labor for valid warranty claims during the warranty period. Included in the warranty are chipping or peeling paint, rotted wood (if wood was replaced by ATD) or loss of adhesion or elasticity in paint. Exclusions: Horizontal surfaces, galvanized metal, rust, mildew and fading. Also excluded are any damages caused by your home settling/shifting, sprinkler systems or water drainage and any damage as a result of abrasions.
Signature Package
With the Signature Package, the three-year warranty above is extended to five years and a three-year mildew guarantee is added.

ATD Painting completed our house exterior project which included carpentry repair and painting all trim, siding, doors, metal gates and roof stacks. Adam did a thorough job during the estimate process and spent extra time with us reviewing color selections. Chris, our project manager, visited the day prior to the start of the project, conducted a walk around review and confirmed all paint color details. Chris was first on job site to oversee the delivery of all project work materials. The work crew lead by foreman Everado and assisted by Edgar, arrived on schedule and quickly began working on the project. The work crew did an excellent job completing all tasks in a professional and detailed manner. Chris visited the worksite each day to monitor work progress and conducted a walk around with us to identify any discrepancies requiring touch up or rework. ATD painting is a highly professional organization! Rudy, Regional Manager, presented the estimate and complete review of the company accompanied by a detailed portfolio. My experience with ATD Painting couldn't have been better! We wanted to update our old honey oak cabinets in our kitchen, dry bar, wet bar and built-in entertainment center, a pretty large task. After several quotes and even some no-show appointments, I was relieved to hear Adam's process, his ideas and proposal, and to top it off, his quote was less than the others and the timeline was quicker. He was even able to provide someone to come demo part of our entertainment center prior to our start date. ATD has supervisors (James, Leo) checking in 1-2 times a day to inspect quality and answer any questions, but it wasn't totally necessary because Israel and his team were ASTONISHING. They were pleasant, cheerful, on time, worked a solid day, worked so quickly it was almost unreal and were incredibly thorough. The prep work of taping and covering they did was amazingly detailed, and their cleanup was sparkling. It was a joy to have them in our home, and while our quote gave an initial timeline of 3-4 days, Israel and his team were totally done in 2 days with a cleanup hour+ on the morning of the 3rd. To say I'm impressed is a vast understatement! We are already planning another project and will only be using ATD for that project and any others from now on. Thank you Adam, Leo, James, Israel and the gentlemen on the team for a glorious job well done. I can't say enough about how wonderful this experience has been and how excited we are to enjoy our beautiful "new" home! What an amazing difference cabinet painting does to update a house!

Adam and his team (James, Eduardo, and another young gentleman) were amazing! It was our first time having work done and Adam made it very stress-free; he explained everything very well. Adam came in a week before for a free estimate, color matched, measured, and gave me a very reasonable price for painting 2 rooms (all 4 walls and ceilings). We scheduled that day. A week later, Adam and his team showed up and got everything done in a timely manner. I really appreciate how polite everyone was! I typically don’t write reviews but believe that this company deserves to be raved about! My experience with them has definitely been positive! From the moment I called they quickly responded and set up to have their rep. Shane come out to give us a quote. Then once I called to confirm we wanted them to do the job, ADT quickly responded and had set me up a time to have there crew start (less than a week) NOW I HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED FROM THERE! SADLY, the crew that initially came out did a very poor job. Most times, I would be over it and fire a company and move on. The way ADT’s management handle it was the reason we continued to work with them and will for any future painting jobs we need done! The owner takes PRIDE in his company and when he came out and saw it was not up to his company standards he made sure to make it right had a new crew out and had his Project Managers along with his sale rep. check on the job as well! ATD Painting recently repaired and repainted the exterior of our modern stucco home. It now looks better than new, and we are extremely pleased with the customer service and quality of work delivered. Adam (area manager) was our initial contact with ATD Painting. He conducted a thorough evaluation of the work required and gave us a fair and reasonable estimate. He was personable, professional, knowledgeable, well organized, and very attentive to detail. We anticipated concurrent roof repairs, and he ensured that our painting schedule coordinated with our roofing schedule. He was also pleasant and responsive from start to finish. Ken (site supervisor) was personable, professional, and experienced in stucco repair work. He was on-site daily to oversee work progress and to ensure that our needs and concerns and the needs and concerns of the crew were met. Jeff (company owner) also stopped by midway through our project to check work progress. Omar (crew leader) and Edwin worked magic repairing our cracked stucco and damaged wood trim, and they did a beautiful job of painting our house and detached garage. One of the last things they painted was our front door. We thought it looked beautiful at the end of the day; however, Omar came back the next day and added two more coats of paint. His extra effort and attention to detail took our standard issue front door to another level…the color is super rich and the door looks absolutely elegant. We have a stucco home that needs to be painted every few years. It is a major maintenance item and we did considerable research before deciding on ATD Painting. We are thrilled with the choice we made. They were on time each day, worked hard, did an beautiful job and when they left, they cleaned up as if they had never been there. They made suggestions along the way that helped enhance the look of the house and the entire crew could not have been nicer to work with. One unexpected plus was that we initially decided to remove some shutters that were outside and when we pulled them off, it didn’t look right. Chris, at ATD, created some frames around the windows that updated the look of the house and were the perfect complement to the overall design. Many thanks to Adam, Ken, Joel, and Chris. I have been handling home repairs independently for many years. When it was time to paint our house, I required professional assistance. I received various quotes from authentic painting companies and ultimately chose the one I trusted to deliver on their promises. Our point of contact at ATD Painting was Chris Palomo. I was quite demanding about my requirements and expectations for a top-notch job! True to their word, the painting team, accompanied by Chris, arrived promptly to discuss the two-day project. I love working with Adam and his professional on-time crew at ATD. We had an initial estimate meeting where Adam helped us to walk through our colors and cut off lines. Adam made himself available for advice even on the weekend as I was making color selections. Unlike other paint contractors there was open communications and clear expectations. The site supervisor Chris gave us his ph number to call if we had any concerns during the job.
